Miraflores is universally recommended as the best neighborhood for first-time visitors. It offers a wide range of hotels from budget hostels to five-star international chains, beautiful cliffside parks, major shopping centers like Larcomar, and excellent safety.

For a more romantic, artsy, and boutique experience, the neighboring district of Barranco is perfect. This bohemian enclave features converted colonial mansions serving as luxury guesthouses, offering easy access to the city's best nightlife and contemporary art galleries.

Business travelers often prefer the exclusive district of San Isidro, the financial heart of the city known for its leafy streets, luxury hotels, and the historic Olive Grove Park. While beautiful, it is much quieter at night compared to Miraflores and Barranco.
