Most Dubai desert safaris put you in the back seat of a 4×4 for dune bashing. This one puts you behind the handlebars of your own ATV for 60 minutes across the red dunes of Lahbab, then takes you to a 5-star Bedouin camp for a BBQ dinner under the stars. Six hours, from hotel pickup to drop-off.

What Your Evening Looks Like

Pickup (1 hour before departure). Air-conditioned vehicle collects you at your hotel lobby. Drive to the Lahbab desert, known for its distinctive red-orange dunes.
ATV ride (60 minutes). Safety briefing, helmet, and then you’re on your own quad bike across open desert. No paved track, real dunes. Riders must be 14+ with basic driving knowledge. You can share a bike (minimum 2 passengers required for sharing).
Sandboarding. Board down the red dunes. Simple, fun, no experience needed.
Al Khayma Camp (3 hours). The heart of the experience. Arrive at the 5-star Bedouin camp for Arabic coffee, dates, and sweets. Then the evening unfolds: camel ride to a sunset viewpoint, baby camel feeding and selfies, henna painting, falcon photo experience, shisha lounge, Arabian horse show, fire show, Yola traditional dance, BBQ buffet dinner with live cooking stations, and stargazing to close the night.
Return to hotel. Approximately 6 hours after pickup.
Before You Book

- Minimum age for ATV and camel ride: 14 years old. Children under 14 cannot ride.
- ATV damage liability. You are personally responsible for any damage to the ATV. The tour does not cover damage or injuries from the quad bike. Travel insurance with activity coverage is strongly recommended.
- Departure times. Afternoon slots (around 3:30 PM) include sunset, dinner, fire show, and stargazing. The 11:30 AM slot includes a lunch buffet instead but no stargazing or fire show. Evening departure is the better experience.
- What to wear. Casual, loose clothing. Long pants recommended for the ATV. Jacket in winter (desert nights drop to 15°C). Closed shoes, not sandals.
- Pickup timing. Your driver arrives 45 minutes before departure time. Be ready in your hotel lobby.
- No dune bashing included. This tour features ATV riding, not 4×4 dune bashing. If you want the rollercoaster 4×4 experience, this is not the right tour.
- Bike sharing fee. If you’re a solo traveler or have an odd number in your group and select bike sharing, an additional fee may apply.
- Cancellation: free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.
